Owner's Comment

Hush has all the beauty of a classical blue water yacht from Sparkman and Steven’s 1972 stable which has been updated and maintained over her past ownerships and now boasts an impressive log of engineering and structural enhancements and a formidable specification for modern day cruising and racing.

The Nautor's Swan 48 is one of the most iconic yachts to have been commissioned by Finnish yard, a design with a pedigree of prestigious offshore races as well as a global reputation for bluewater cruising capabilities.

Hush has benefitted from a line of hands-on and diligent owners who have ensured that the classic design is complemented by the latest safety features and a log of continuous updates. Whether planning to sail around the world in  safety and comfort or to compete in international yacht racing such as the ‘Rolex Swan World Cup’, Hush is equipped to take you there.

Since purchasing Hush in 2016, the current owner has been meticulous in their approach to be personally involved in the work that has brought Hush up to the immaculate state she is now in. The mast and boom have been removed, shot blasted, primed and painted and in the meantime, the entirety of the standing rigging was replaced by Ocean Rigging in Lymington with custom Peterson fittings. Hush has a new Volvo D2-75 engine (replaced in 2020) and the keel step was replaced by a previous owner in 2010 for added security and structural integrity. It is for these reasons that Hush is truly unique in the market and is a yacht with character, majesty and true nautical elegance.
