Lilley Marine is pleased to be able to offer this very fine Swan 62 (which is in fact 65 feet LOA). We project managed the build with the current owner who had a brief to produce a cruising Swan based on the highly successful Swan 60 which has been race proven both in Swan Regatta sailing as well as very prestigious IRC regattas throughout the world.

The description “better than new” in terms of condition are easily written but, in this case, do best describe this particular Swan. The owner is very fastidious and incredibly detailed in all aspects of his life and his yacht is not spared this attention. She is of course crew maintained to a very high standard. As an example of the very high standard expected of the owner, he has arranged for her to be shipped to the Med, from the Caribbean later this year to save wear and tear on the Atlantic crossing – as indeed she was last year of course.

In terms of equipment, the owner had some very clear ideas on his requirements to cruise this Swan with the fitting of in-boom hydraulic mainsail furling and a requirement to have a decent tender which stows in the aft lazerette locker. A rib with 40hp outboard is launched and retrieved via the hydraulically operated bathing platform.

The owner also decided to pay the VAT on this Swan although of course she is in fact MCA coded to allow charter operations to be carried out. Again, the owner was very careful with the type of charters he would allow on board his yacht and to date we have not quite found the right clients! In fact she has only ever been used for the owners private use.

We can of course recommend viewing this very fine example of one of the most successful models built by Nautor’s Swan in Finland.

Emika Description

Emika, a 2004 Swan 62 is a flush deck version of the Swan 62.  Since delivery in 2004, she has had only one careful owner and has been used for private family cruising predominantly based in the South of France with the occasional winter in the Caribbean.   Highly optimized for short-handed cruising, and highly specified by her owner, who was meticulous in his approach to building the yacht. Emika features an in-boom furling mainsail and all halyards are led underdeck to the aft cockpit.  The retractable bow-thruster facilitates effortless manoeuvres when handling her in the marina and the Westerbeke generator and air-conditioning system make her a comfortable and versatile family cruiser.  Offered for sale by her original owners in VAT paid status, she is based in Port Grimaud.
